The Evening Goblins

You know the drill, defend your base and place those towers! Stop the goblins from destroying the base! But beware, for at night there are extra dangers that can both benefit and harm you!
Description
This is my entry to the game jam. This game is a basic tower defense game with a twist in terms of the lightning strikes that occur at night. These strikes can both benefit or harm you, depending on where they strike! I have never used this engine so I took the allotted time to learn the engine and create a basic game with it. Unfortunately due to the time constraints I wasn't able to create a game that works with the suggested control scheme, but I still wanted to put something out. I've been designing games for over 10 years, but I've always used Unity and almost always 3D. This engine challenged me to learn some new tricks and tools and I must say I am impressed and very much enjoyed myself. The unique approach to node based drag and drop coding was also very strange to me but it was very helpful to be able to convert scripts into proper code as well. As I am mainly a 3D artist so creating 2D art was a big challenge for me, as such I decided to take a unique approach to the "objects" in the game world. I created 3D assets in Blender, exported them to Unity and then proceeded to create 2D art from my 3D assets, check the screenshots if you are curious about that process. I very much enjoyed this challenge and will definitely be back to jam again next time! I think after the jam I will create a full game from this demo. I hope you enjoy my entry!
